Refund of course fees

 These terms and conditions include, but are not limited to, the following SCCANZ courses:

  • Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine (CSCM)
  • Australian Diploma of Dermoscopy (ADD)
  • Advanced Diploma of Skin Cancer Medicine and Surgery (ADSCMS)
  1. Where a student decides to withdraw from any SCCANZ training course or event, advice of their withdrawal must be received in writing by the SCCANZ administration office. Without notice in writing, no refund of course fees will be considered.
  2. Where a student decides to withdraw from a SCCANZ course prior to the commencement date they will receive a refund of any fees paid (deposit and/or full course fee) less a $110 cancellation fee.
  3. Where a deposit has been paid and the student does not commence the course and does not make contact with SCCANZ prior to the course commencement date, they will forfeit 100% of their deposit and no refund is payable.
  4. Where a student decides to withdraw from a course within one calendar month after the course commencement date, they will receive a refund of the full course fee, less a 20% cancellation fee.
  5. Where a student decides to withdraw from a course more than one calendar month but less than three calendar months after the course commencement date, they will receive a refund of the full course fee, less a 50% cancellation fee.
  6. In cases where a student withdraws from a course more than three months after the course commencement date, or fails to complete the course within the accepted time frame without contacting the SCCANZ office to advise their inability to complete, no refund of the course fee is payable.
  7. Notwithstanding the above, the management of SCCANZ reserves the right to make decisions regarding refund of course fees based on individual student circumstances.
  8. 

Resitting of Exams

  1. Where a student undertakes an exam but fails to pass the exam, the student can resit the exam on the next occasion it is offered by the College provided the next offering of the exam is not more than 24 months after the commencement of the original education course in which the student was enrolled.
  2. Where a student resits an exam, they will be charged an administration fee which must be paid prior to undertaking the exam.  The administration fee will vary depending on the nature and complexity of the exam. Fees can be obtained by contacting the College.
  3. Where a student resits an exam and successfully passes the exam, the relevant award for successful completion of the course will be provided by the College.
  4. If a student resits an exam but again fails to pass the exam, they will not be permitted to undertake the exam a third time. The student will however have the option to reenrol in the relevant course as a new student, pay the full course fee, complete the necessary course work and undertake any exams.
  5. In cases where a student has dropped out of a course, or fails to complete the course without notifying SCCANZ of a reason for non-completion, they will not be eligible to sit for any of the course exams. The student will however have the option to reenrol in the relevant course as a new student, pay the full course fee, complete the necessary course work and then undertake any exams.
  6. Regardless of whether a student has completed other similar courses of study with other education providers or institutions, they will not be eligible to sit for any SCCANZ examination without completing the full SCCANZ course of study unless they have the express permission of the SCCANZ Censor in Chief. (Excludes the SCCANZ Fellowship OSCE)
  7. Notwithstanding the above, the management of SCCANZ reserves the right to make decisions regarding resitting of exams based on individual student circumstances.
