Chaos and Clues is an algorithm developed by Dr Cliff Rosendahl and Dr Alan Cameron designed to detect any type of malignancy in any type of pigmented skin lesion. Pattern analysis can then be used to distinguish various malignancies (melanoma BCC, SCC) but this is academic. The important thing is to recognise malignancy
